About the Role

The Events Coordinator helps plan and run community‑focused events that bring people together and offer practical support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising, supporting others, and creating welcoming, kind‑hearted spaces.

Events may include community coffee afternoons, outreach sessions, school‑support drop‑ins, or fundraising activities. As we establish ourselves in the west of Gateshead — with our main base in Teams on Wednesdays — you’ll help build relationships and create events that make a real difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping plan, prepare, and run community events
  • Setting up venues and ensuring everything is ready
  • Welcoming people, supporting volunteers, and offering help
  • Assisting with activities such as essential‑item distribution or supporting local outreach
  • Helping events run smoothly from start to finish
  • Working alongside partner charities and community hubs

About You

  • Warm, welcoming, and good with people
  • Enjoys organising and supporting community events
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to get involved
  • No formal experience needed — just kindness and motivation
