Join us at the Gateshead Volunteer Recruitment Fair 2026! 

Taking place on Tuesday 13 October 2026, from 10am to 1pm at Gateshead Leisure Centre, Alexandra Road, NE8 4HU. 

No booking required, just turn up! 

Organised by Gateshead Volunteer Centre, powered by Connected Voice, the event brings together local charities, community groups and voluntary organisations from across Gateshead, all in one place. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet organisations face-to-face, learn about the work they do, and explore a wide range of volunteering opportunities available within the borough. 

Volunteering can be a great way to support your local community, share your skills, gain new experiences, improve your wellbeing, and connect with others. 

Whether you have a few hours to spare each month or are looking for a more regular commitment, there are opportunities to suit a range of interests and circumstances. 

Following a successful first event in 2025, which welcomed more than 100 visitors, we're delighted to be bringing the fair back for 2026 and helping even more residents discover the benefits of volunteering.
