Marie Curie is looking to set up new Event Committees within our Community Fundraising Team across the UK who will organise quartley events to help us to increase our income to support more people. To ensure the successful running of these events, Committee Members are needed to help with a variety of event tasks. Depending on the event this could include: banking income, publicity, budgeting, sourcing auction prizes or selling tables/places at the event
The role will include some of the following tasks:
• Attend committee meetings, inputting to ideas and actions
• To help with the recruitment of committee members
• Promoting the event with your contacts
• Support the chair to keep costs down by securing gifts in kind or sponsorship
• Complete any agreed actions within relevant timeframes
Skills needed
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of/interest in organising events
