BARMOOR HUB - OVER 40 YEARS IN THE COMMUNITY

The Centre serves the community within the West of Gateshead particularly Ryton, Crawcrook, Clara Vale, Greenside and Stella.

The Centre is run by a voluntary management committee made up of local people who accepted the offer of Asset Transfer from Gateshead Council in 2014, taking on full responsibility of the building including repairs, maintenance and programme delivery.

It costs about £26,000 per year to run the Centre and this is raised through fees, room hire, fund raising activities and applications to external funders.

Volunteering

We are looking for volunteers to support our work, it is very rewarding and there are so many ways in which to help, working with young people, administration, publicity and making small repairs.  If you can offer a few hours a week or an hour now and again it would be appreciated.    Barmoor Hub Volunteers | OurGateshead
