Volunteer Roles at FoodCycle

Hosting Team Member:
As a Hosting Team Member, you'll be the friendly face that greets our guests and helps create a warm, welcoming environment. Think of yourself as the social glue—making sure everyone feels comfy and cared for. No cooking required—just good vibes, a welcoming smile, and a passion for helping others. And fair warning: our food is so good, you might find yourself wanting to sit with our guests and enjoy the experience as a volunteer too!

Cooking Team Member:
Ever wanted to learn how to whip up a tasty meal or just enjoy the kitchen without the pressure? Our Cooking Team Members don't need to be professional chefs—just a willingness to get stuck in, have some fun, and make a difference. We’ll provide the recipes, and you'll bring the enthusiasm! Bonus points if you enjoy a bit of culinary chaos and camaraderie. And don’t be surprised if the food tempts you to join in on the dining as well!

Join us and be part of a friendly team that’s all about creating community—one delicious meal at a time!

Skills needed

No previous experience required! All you need is a positive attitude, willingness to get involved, and a bit of enthusiasm. For hosting roles, good communication and a friendly nature are a plus. For cooking roles, just an interest in food and a team spirit—no culinary skills necessary. We provide all the guidance and support, so everyone can contribute and enjoy the experience.
