VFN have a project called the HEAL project which supports victims of sexual violence living in the Gateshead area, the project can also offer support and advice around sexual health. The project is run by an ISVA (independent sexual violence advisor) who can provide this specialist support. We provide support to women and girls (13+) who have experienced any form of sexual violence.  We define sexual violence in its broadest sense.  For example, we support women who have experienced rape, childhood sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, stalking, unwanted sexual touching, unwanted sexual exposure, so called 'revenge porn' etc.  The sexual violence may have been experienced recently or historically.  We are for all women including, but not limited to, women who identify as Lesbian, Bi, Trans and/or Questioning; Black, Minority Ethnic and Refugee women; and women with disabilities.
