Free Veterans & Families Outdoor Activities

WinG Outdoor Activities have a number of free outdoor activities available for veterans and their families.  

Multiple outdoor activity days are available for free for veterans and their families.  Dates are subject to sufficient number of interested people expressing interest.

The activities are a chance for people to help improve their physical and emotional well-being by taking part in outdoor activities.  Activities can include canoeing on local rivers, country walks and map reading, rock climbing, gentle cycling or mountain biking and bushcraft cooking and crafting in private woodland near Prudhoe.  Most of our activities take place in rural areas of Northumberland, but can also include more local areas of Tyne and Wear.

All necessary outdoor equipment provided, plus free minibus transport for up to 8 people.

At present we are seeking interest from various veterans so we can then set some dates for activities.  If requested, we could arrange for your particular group and yourself to accompany us on one of our planned outdoor activities.  It may be possible to arrange a pick up point near to your location, happy to discuss further.
