New learners will be guided through the portrait drawing process, using the 'Block in method' which helps capture a likeness of the subject using traditional methods. This term, returning learners will be doing a master copy of a portrait by Anthony Van Dyck, using oil paints. We'll explore how he uses the painting process in a specific way to build his portraits using the layered technique and glazing.
