Introduction to Letterpress with Northern Print

This introductory workshop will give you an insight into the technique of letterpress printing using traditional metal type. It will take you through the basics of composing, setting and printing and all the printing will be done on vintage Adana presses. 

You’ll have the opportunity to create your own hand-crafted short pieces of printed text. You can mix and match the type to create your short pieces of text. You can bring some ideas to work from e.g. original texts, quotations or headlines for printing on A5 paper or smaller.
