Most of the tasks of a Trustee Treasurer can be completed remotely and you can dedicate as much time to this role as you are able.
Unit Management Team members do need to attend a regular UMT meeting – usually one hour, monthly or bi-monthly, on a weekday evening.

Do you have accountancy or money management experience?
Could you spare some time to join the Unit Management Team (UMT) at Gateshead Sea Cadets as their Treasurer?
We would love to hear from anyone who feels they could fulfil the role which includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Keep up to date and accurate records of income and expenditure.
- Ensure regular reports are available to the Trustees.
- Ensure that annual returns are completed and checked by the appropriate person, and Charity regulator.
- Attend a regular UMT meeting - usually 1 hour, monthly or bi-monthly, on a weekday evening.

Skills needed
