Are you compassionate, reliable, and looking to make a real difference to the lives of older people?

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our friendly team providing weekly cleaning and home support services to older adults in their own homes. This role is more than just cleaning; it’s about supporting our clients to maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

For this role, assistants will support people living in and around Central Gateshead, Leam, Felling, Wardley, Bill Quay, Pelaw, Heworth, Windy Nook, Low Fell, Wrekenton, Beacon Lough and Birtley.

Assistants tend to start with 2-3 hours per week, and then build up hours to suit their needs.

Main duties include:-

  • Ensuring homes are clean and tidy, by following the individual home help plan for each client
  • Providing shopping, prescription collection and paying bills for clients
  • Filling in client records, taking payment and bringing paperwork and payment to the head office on a weekly basis.

Benefits of Working for Happy to Help

  • Flexible hours to suit you and your commitments - you start on a few hours, and if wanted, you can build hours up at your own pace, on the days of the week that suit you
  • We never ask you to work evenings or weekends, bank holidays, or between Christmas and New Year
  • Travel time between clients paid for by us
  • Full training, uniform and PPE provided

If you would like a rewarding job, that makes a significant difference to people's lives, we'd love to hear from you. Send your CV to vacancies@teamwork-dt.co.uk. For an informal chat with our home help coordinator, call Liz on 0191 4785919.

Our clients are based across Gateshead but we always try to match our home help assistants with clients that live in the areas that are compatible. Having access to your own vehicle is desirable.
