Citizen Science sessions are open to families and will help children and their parents make a contribution to conserving our natural environment.  Sessions take place every other month.  May's session is:

Tree health survey-  Help report on the state of our woodland and find out more about what trees do for us.  Collect seeds to plant your own tree and make recycled paper.

Families are asked to park in the main car park and follow RVP1 signs to the Forest Classroom where the session will start at 10am.

This project is funded by the supermarket chain Tesco’s Bags of Help scheme where money raised from the 5p charge on carrier bags is used to help communities across the country participate in the development and use of open spaces.

For more information contact Joanne Norman at Groundwork North East on 01207 524 803 or email joanne.norman@groundwork.org.uk.  Information on dates for subsequent sessions can also be found at the Friends of Chopwell Wood website www.friendsofchopwellwood.org.uk
