Watergate Wildlife Watch - Winter Birds

Description of what will be involved:

Investigate the birds that visit Watergate Park in winter. Learn how to be a brilliant bird detective and how we can help look after our feathery friends. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sat 24th November 10.30 – 12.30

A new club at Watergate Forest Park, aimed at children aged between 6 and 13, takes place on the last Saturday of the month from 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Membership is free, and younger siblings are welcome to come along too. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The club is based at Watergate Café (behind Emmanuel College), and is run by Durham Wildlife Trust, supported by the Café and Friends of Watergate Forest Park.

There is no need to book, simply come along to Watergate Café for 10.30am. Make sure you wrap up warm, as weather permitting, most of the activities are based outdoors. Any queries, please visit our Facebook page, “Friends of Watergate Forest Park”, or ask at the café.

There is a car park near to the cafe on the A692, just past the college; or the X31, 11 and 97 buses from Gateshead Interchange stop at the top of Lobley Hill near the shops.
