The Josephine and Jack Project Local Hero Fundraiser

Local Hero 2019
Description of what will be involved:

Local Hero 2019 is an exciting opportunity for local fundraisers to win up to £1,000 for The Josephine and Jack Project!

In April, athletes, artists and dare-devils from across the country will be raising money for local charities in a bid to be crowned Localgiving’s Local Hero champion!

Local Hero will be launched on 1st April and will run until 30th April. All participants need to do is think up a challenge, set up a fundraising page for The Josephine and Jack Project on Localgiving and persuade as many people as possible to donate.

Throughout April, fundraisers will be ranked on the Local Hero leaderboard according to the number of unique online donors who sponsor their page. At the end of the campaign, Localgiving will award £5,000 in prizes to the causes supported by the top 20 fundraisers, with a top prize of £1,000 going to the cause of the fundraiser who has secured the most donors.

We’d be incredibly grateful if you would consider setting up a fundraising page and becoming Josephine and Jack’s Local Hero!

What is the #LocalHero campaign?

You can find full details about the campaign here: https://localgiving.org/localhero

How will the money raised be spent?

Any money you raise for us will go towards continuing and developing our valuable work with people with learning disabilities across the North East and beyond who want to learn about topics like sex, relationships, wellbeing and mental health. We are currently using feedback from our participants and partners to develop new courses exploring issues such as bereavement and citizenship. Just imagine what we could do with an extra £1,000!

How can you get involved?

If you think you could be our Local Hero, then please visit our Localgiving page here: www.localgiving.org/the-josephine-and-jack-project/ and click ‘Fundraise for us’ to get started. Only donations made between the 1st and 30th of April will count toward the campaign, but you can get your page set up and ready to go right away!

Thank you :)
