The Felling Food Network
The Felling Food Network is coming soon and is being set up to provide a weekly 3 day emergency food parcel distribution point for local people experiencing food poverty in Felling. The project will operate from the Felling Community Centre, beneath Crowhall Towers, on a Wednesday between 12 noon and 2pm.
What can we provide?
- 3 day food parcel, for either individuals or families
- allows people to choose their own food for the parcel
- no need for any referral
- there is no time limite on need
What we can do?
We provide quality food parcels one day each week on a Wednesday from 12 noon until 2pm and provide practical support for people who need a little help, we also aim to provide refreshments.
How people help?
We desperately need food and toiletry donations to help meet the deman. We are also collecting pet food contributions.
Donations of tinned projects are especially welcome. Thank you
The group would welcome any volunteers to come along and get invovled in the project. Volunteers are needed for the following general tasks:
- Source additional food
- Transprt the food to our storage
- Distribute food parcels from the Felling Community Centre on a Wednesday.
Overall the group are looking for some initial volunteers to take forward the development and organisations of the group. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a project from the initial creation and to be involved througout its development. if you are interested in supporting the organisation of the group and managing the project in particular please let us know.
Volunteers are welcome who have any skills or experience.
Previous experience of leading a group could be beneficial however is not essential.
This is an opportunity to get invovled in a new emerging project within the themes of the Thrive agenda.
