This online session, delivered via Zoom, is for you if you want to gain a broader understanding of health inequalities and how they impact a range of communities.

Through a mix of interactive presentations and group activities the session will cover:

  • An introduction to the different kinds of health inequalities experienced by a range of disadvantaged people and communities
  • The main causes of these health inequalities - such as poverty, insecure housing and other social determinants of health
  • An understanding of how different issues and forms of disadvantage intersect
  • An understanding of how the work of many VCSE organisations can contribute to reducing the impact of structural health inequalities
  • How describing your project in terms of addressing health inequalities can meet funder priorities

Our training and events are funded from a variety of sources, allowing us to offer them for free to eligible organisations. Please check the eligibility requirements for each session before signing up, as this varies from course to course. If your organisation is not eligible for a free session you may be interested in one of our tailored training packages.
