Dementia Nurse Practitioners

The service consists of two dementia nurse practitioners who work within the acute hospital setting within the Queen Elizabeth (QE) Hospital in Gateshead

We support people living with dementia during a hospital admission. We can also support families and carers and hospital staff via an inpatient referral system.

Any inpatient with a diagnosis of dementia, their family or carers and any QE hospital staff can access the service.

Please speak to a member of staff on the ward who will make a referral on behalf of patients and families.
