Our Villages Crawcrook and Greenside is a charity made up of passionate trustees and volunteers who want to improve the local environment and community.
We do this by providing opportunities to learn new skills and make rewarding contributions through volunteering with us. We organise community events such as our annual Crawcrook Fair on the first Saturday in August, Easter Egg hunts, Halloween scavenger trails and Christmas lights switch on.
Our volunteers also conduct regular litter picking, tend to the flower beds and planters around the villages and Crawcrook park.
We also fundraise for improvement projects around the villages. We were successful in raising £19k towards new play equipment in Crawcrook Park.
Our current projects are creating a community garden in Crawcrook and starting a new community cafe.
