Gateshead Council

About us: 

The Council’s services are delivered through five groups as shown below:

  • Community Based Services;
  • Development and Enterprise;
  • Learning and Children;
  • Local Environmental Services;
  • Central Services.

Within each of the five groups are a number of services, each run by a Strategic Director who takes responsibility for the day to day running of the service and the management of employees.

The Management Structure

The Council’s senior management comprises the Chief Executive, Jane Robinson, and seven Strategic Directors:

  • Darren Collins - Strategic Director, Finance and ICT
