Marketing Vacancy - Foundations Furniture Charity

Foundations Furniture specialises in supporting Gateshead residents experiencing hardship to create safe, comfortable home lives through the provision of low cost pre-loved household items and a range of new goods for which affordable loans are available. We are seeking a talented Business Development and Marketing Officer to promote our services within new communities within Gateshead and in new geographical areas therefore increasing vital income for our charity.

-Promote our services widely in person and online
-Identify potential markets in new areas, driving sales from those markets to our showrooms and online
-Analyse and report on success of marketing activity
-Gather evidence about new potential markets, using key findings from research to help inform a detailed marketing plan
-Strengthen/build relationships with key support services and local authority departments in new geographical areas who have potential to promote our services to residents
-Liaise with Project Manager and Project Development Officer on a regular basis


Personal Specification

-Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team, liaising with other staff, volunteers, service users and organisations
-A polite and friendly manner with good interpersonal skills
‪-Strong efficiency and punctuality


Essential Criteria

-Clean driving licence and use of own transport
-Experience of marketing, sales and promotion
-Excellent communication skills


Desirable Criteria

-Experience of working with a third sector organisation


Hours: 25 hours per week, £10.50 per hour (plus mileage expenses)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 Month Contract with potential to extend)

Closing date: Midnight 26th March 2017
