Home Care Vacancy (Cleaning, bill paying and pension collection for older people)

We are seeking a caring and considerate person to join our team for 10 hours per week to help our clients in the West of Gateshead who need help with housework, shopping, pension collection and bill paying. (No personal care)

All hours are worked between Monday to Friday daytimes, no weekends or evenings required. Hours can be increased if desired.

Duties and responsibilities of the job may include the following depending on the needs of the client:-

Essential maintenance of hygiene in kitchen and bathroom.
General housework chores.
Shopping for the client
Bill paying and pension collection
Report immediately to the office any cause for concern or indiscretion that occurs during the time that you are at any clients home.
Staff members are not expected to work outside of the property.
All staff are expected to abide by companies policy and procedures.
Maintain complete confidentiality concerning clients and staff related to work.
Participate in staff meetings and attend training sessions if and when required.
Ensure all equipment provided is regularly checked and utilised at all times.
Implement health and safety, emergency and fire procedures.
Report to the office any faulty appliances, accidental damage that may cause potential hazards.

Ability to work as part of a team or use initiative when working alone
Continuity and reliability

Due to the area covered, car user status and access to a vehicle is essential. Happy to Help cover mileage expenses.

Salary: £7.20 per hour plus mileage (£7.50 from 1 April 2017)
