About us: 

Guidepost is a drop-in and aims  to provide for the residents of Gateshead and surrounding area with a learning disability the opportunity to learn, have recreation time and with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents. To empower people with a learning disability to achieve happy, independent, skilled, healthy and socially inclusive lives. There is a range of activities on offer they include:
• Health walks
• Boccia
• Football training
• Curling
• Information sessions
• Health sessions
• Craft sessions

There is a £3 contribution to attend that goes towards running costs and to support ongoing activities.

Guidepost  also offers  day service provision  to those people who are entitled to an assessed service , offering  the opportunity to gain vocational experience in social setting by helping to organise and run the sessions, this enables people to develop their  independence   leading to friendships and community involvement.
