Handcrafted is a charity based in Durham, Gateshead and Chester le Street empowering those excluded from society to gain skills and find work.
Handcrafted works alongside disadvantaged people who long to turn their lives around, but need opportunities, mentoring and practical help.
We work with people who have multiple and complex needs, including homelessness, mental health, offending and drug, alcohol & substance abuse. We involve them in meaningful and empowering training and experience doing woodwork, landscape gardening and house renovation projects. Through this we teach both practical and social skills.
