Sarah Ward who works for Action for Children is an evaluation officer who is currently undertaking a three year evaluation of the tier 3 community CAMHS service across Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside.

A key aim of the evaluation is to involve children, young people, parents and carers involved with the service over the three year period to see what is working well, what needs to be improved and whether the service is meeting the expectations of those involved.

 Sarah has asked if we could arrange an informal meeting between herself and our parents/carers whose children are currently involved with Gateshead CAMHS to let you know what this is all about and how you can be involved and what commitment is needed on your behalf. Parents in Power are of course willing to support you throughout this very important evaluation. This is so important in light of the changes that are currently taking place.
