Phoenix Explorer Scout Unit

Explorer Scouts is for active 14 to 18 year olds and provides opportunities to enjoy a varied and fun programme as well as undertake various Scout Awards, participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and become a Young Leader.

It’s a flexible programme recognising that young people have other commitments, allowing them to enjoy Scouting while balancing school, college and work commitments.

Blaydon Scout District has an active Explorer Scout Unit (the Phoenix ESU), enjoying a wide range of activities.  Membership is open to young people moving on from any of the Scout Troops in Blaydon District and to any other young people in the 14 – 18 age range.
