Sheila Quigley backs libraries

sheila quigley in Ryton

Friends of Ryton Library  were thrilled to welcome 'Queen of Brit grit', writer Sheila Quigley, to their first 'meet the author' event. The packed venue was kept highly entertained by Sheila's tales of life as a crime fiction writer in the cut throat world of modern publishing. Asked about the importance of libraries, Sheila sparng to their defence: 'Through librarieschildren learn about morality.  Without books, society would be so much worse,'she said. She has promised to make a return visit to Ryton once her sequel to her current novel,  Thorn in my Side, is published.
