Review of Ponteland Concert of the 26th November 2011

Review of the Ponteland concert on Saturday 26th November 2011.

Last year at this time our concert in Ponteland was cancelled due to heavy snow falls and icy road conditions.

Our visit this time was greeted with a packed church and a very appreciative audience.

The programme  was varied and included many pieces relating to the Christmas story such as, "It's the most wonderful time of the year, The joy of Christmas, Blow, Blow thy winter wind,Silver Bells, Sleigh Ride,I wish you Christmas  and The Holy City.

We also had four soloists who performed songs of their own choice.

Following the concert the Church Organisors provided coffee and mince pies. This allowed the audience  to mingle with the Choristers. It was at this stage that many complimentary comments were made about the programme selection and the singing of the choir and the soloists.

The overwhelming feeling of the choir  was that the appreciation shown by the audience was worth all the hard work put in at rehearsals.

                               Our next concert is at Felling Methodist Church Hall, Felling

                               on Saturday 17th December 2011, starting at 7pm.

N.B mince pies and refreshments are being provided for the audience at half time.
