Gateshead Community Network

Supporting local people in Gateshead to have a voice in the planning, delivery and decision making of their public services.

GCN has involved local people since 2002 in a variety of ways. As a Community Network member, you will have the opportunity to represent your community at the decision making table of Gateshead Strategic Partnership based in Gateshead Council.

Provides a way for your views to be heard.

We work with partners to help them communicate with local people. We also inform local people what decisions have been made. We do this by carrying out consultations on behalf of partners (Police, PCT, Gateshead Council), have representatives ( local volunteers) who sit on Themed Partnerships, work with Neighbourhood Management Team from Gateshead Council and work with partners to help develop and implement the Community Development Strategy.
