Friends of Ryton Library

Events and activities to promote the library service for volunteers to get involved in.

Who are the friends?   

The Friends of Ryton Library group supports library and community activities associated with Ryton Community Library and promotes the use of the library as a community resource. 

Managed by Gateshead Council, the library is housed in the lower ground floor of Ryton Methodist Church, and has its own entrance and courtyard, accessed from a lane off Hexham Old Road, opposite Ryton Deli.

The Friends run a programme of varied activities in the courtyard and other venues in Ryton. Look out for details of upcoming events.   If you would like to join our Friends group or receive our newsletter, please contact the library or email   rytonlibrary@hotmail.co.uk
