Relocation of Gateshead Walk-In Centre Meeting

Instead of holding an Issues and Concerns Drop-in on 14th December 2011 as we had previously arranged, Gateshead LINk are now holding a different type of meeting.

Gateshead PCT had made plans to move the Gateshead Walk-in Centre from its current location in Bensham Hospital to Trinity Square as part of the new developments taking place there.  These plans have now been revised and it has been proposed that the Walk-in Centre now be relocated to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.  A summary of these plans can be accessed by clicking the image above and a formal consultation will be taking place in early 2012.

Gateshead LINk have invited Marc Hopkinson (Public Health Practitioner, NHS South of Tyne & Wear) to talk to LINk members about the plans the PCT has for improving urgent and emergency care services in Gateshead with particular reference to the relocation of the Walk-in Centre.

The meeting will take place between 10am-12noon on Wednesday 14th December, here at GVOC, John Haswell House, Gladstone Terrace, Gateshead.  We expect Marc to talk about the proposals and then be able to answer questions.  Please confirm attendance by e-mailing linda.thompson@gvoc.org.uk
